Here is a list of books that I have found to be valuable references and/or learning tools.
Some resources for those students preparing to enter the workplace.
This instructor has annoyed students for years with his unflattering comments about those who write C or C++ code containing void mains. Happily he is not alone. Please read the gospel according to Bjarne Stroustup, the creator of C++. Among the comments made there is 'Even if your compiler accepts "void main()" avoid it, or risk being considered ignorant by C and C++ programmers.'
I recently stumbled across Paul Graham's website and found that he had many very interesting things (and controversial) to say about programming, programmers, and programming languages. Many of his essays are well worth reading.
